How to Use the Random Joke Generator
1. Selecting a Joke Category
To start, choose a category from the available options, such as Programming, Dad, General, and more. Simply click on a category button to set it as the current selection. The tool will fetch jokes specifically from the selected category.
2. Fetching a Joke
Click the "Get Joke" button to display a new joke based on the currently selected category. The joke will appear in the designated area on the page. The jokes are pulled from the JokeAPI, which provides a variety of jokes.
3. Bookmarking Jokes
If you come across a joke you particularly enjoy, you can save it by clicking the "Bookmark Joke" button. The bookmarked jokes will be listed below, allowing you to revisit them easily.
4. Sharing Jokes on Social Media
To share a joke with your friends, use the social media links provided. Click "Share on Twitter" or "Share on Facebook" to post the joke directly to your social media profiles. The joke will be pre-filled for a quick and easy share.
5. Resetting the Tool
If you wish to start fresh, click the "Reset" button. This will clear the current joke display and the list of bookmarked jokes, and set the default category back to Programming.
6. Responsive and Professional Design
